Uaral - Discography


Band: Uaral
Genre: Folk / Doom Metal
Country: Chile

   Uaral is a band from Chile, founded in 1996 by Aciago and Caudal, the band split-up in 2013. They named the band "Uaral" after their mentor and friend.
   Uaral's style is a darker folk with some influences from the doom metal scene, with extremely melancholic songs. This band is very original, it will probably make you look with different eyes to folk influenced metal bands.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.

Ygg - Discography


Band: Ygg
Genre: Black Metal
Country: Ukraine

   Ygg is a ukranian band founded in 2010 by Odalv (ex-Nokturnal Mortum), Vrolok (ex-Nokturnal Mortum) and Helg (Khors), so far the band released only one album, but I hope that they will release more.
   Ygg is one of many names of Odin in old norse, but I do not know if this is the reason the band have chosen this name.
   Ygg's style is a mix between atmospheric and raw black metal with pagan influences. I would say that this band is perfect for all the fans of black metal, regardless the sub-genre you prefer.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.

   Velvet Cacoon is an american band founded in 2001, the band split up in 2009.
   The band is most famous for all the lies and rumors spread by the band members, including stolen albums. After all the charade has been reveled the band members decided to split up and start fresh with a more serious band, so they founded Clair Cassis.
   Velvet Cacoon's songs are highly influenced by drugs, the atmosphere created by them takes you to a trip through the darkest corners of your mind, it is very mesmerizing.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.

Tardigrada - Discography

   Tardigrada is a swiss band founded in 2010. "Tardigrada" is a phylum of micro-animals related to the arthropods, but I don't know if this have anything to do with the band's name.
   Tardigrada's music manages to mix atmospheric and depressive black metal creating a very bleak ambient. So far the band has released only one demo but in my opinion they are already among the best bands in this genre.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.

深山 (Deep Mountains) - Discography

   Deep Mountains is a chinese band founded in 2009. The band's name really is 深山 which translates to Deep Mountains, and the names of the albums and the songs are also in chinese, but I will post with the translation in english together with the original.
   The band makes a great mix between atmospheric black metal and folk music, to be honest this is the first "folk" band that I heard from china, or from any other eastern country, I have to say that it is pretty good, i will probably search for more folk bands from this countries.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.

Kall - Disocgraphy


Band: Kall
Genre: Depressive Black Metal
Country: Sweden

   Kall is a swedish band founded in 2012, this band is formed by the ex-members of Lifelover, some people say that Kall is a "continuation" of Lifelover after the death of B.
   Kall have a lot of similarities with Lifelover, but this is not the same band, don't listen to this band expecting something equal to Lifelover. I know that a lot of comparisons between the two bands have been made, but I refuse to do the same, for me one band have nothing to do with the other and should be listened as such.
   I know that most of you already know this band, and were following this band and waiting for the first release for a long time just like me. Now that it is finally out I have to say that Kall exceeded my expectations, the debut album is way better them I thought it would be.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.

   Ossadogva is an ukrainian band founded in 2007. The lyrical themes generally involves occultism, most of them about Lovecraft's tales, which lead some people to call this genre occult black metal.
   Ossadogva has a very characteristic vocal work, so anguished and painful, together with the instrumental work creates an atmosphere that simply destroys all the hope you had left.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.
