Funeral Depression - Discography

   Funeral Depression is a one man band from Poland founded by Belzebub in 2007. He have released only instrumental songs.
   Funeral Depression is essentially a dsbm band, but you can clearly see the influence from the funeral doom scene. The atmosphere created by his songs is so sorrowfully soothing, it's amazing, if you just listen to the song Dark, Cold Feeling you will fall in love with this band immediatly.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.

NOTE: I won't be posting the demo "Voices From the Sad Soul" and the demo "Melancholy (Echos From the Past)" because all the songs in both demos are in the full-length album "Past Depression" (tracks 1 through 7).

Herbst - Discography


Band: Herbst
Gemre: Neo Folk
Country: Germany

   Herbst is a one man band from Germany founded  by Herbst (also the founder of Lantlôs) in 2005, sadly the band ended a few years later. The band name translates to autumn.
   Although the band founder is also the founder of Lantlôs, the two bands have nothing in common. Honestly Herbst reminds me a lot of Empyrium, but with more influences from the black metal scene.
   I recommend this band for everyone.

NOTE: I won't be posting the demo (Demo 2006), because all the songs in the demo are in the full-length album (I: Prolog), the tracks are 1. 2 and 3.

Consider Suicide - Discography

   Consider Suicide is a swedish band founded by Kim Carlsson (ex-Lifelover, Hypothermia, Kall, ex-Life is Pain). Kim says that this music were made for relaxation and meditation purposes.
   Different from the others Kim's projects Consider Suicide plays only ambient music, with no influence from the black metal scene.
   I know that this band is a bit different from most bands that I post in this blog, but his music is truly beautiful and relaxing, I think everyone will enjoy listening to Consider Suicide.

612 Sacrifices - "Discography"

   612 Sacrifices was a band founded by Igric and Marthyr, they played only instrumental songs. Sadly 612 sacrifices never officialy released anything, but before the band split-up they have released on the internet some songs that they were working on.
   It's almost impossible not to compare 612 Sacrifices with Igric, both bands are very simillar, but not quite the same. If you are a fan of Igric you will probably love them. I have to admit, some of the songs need some work, but that is to be expected, after all they split up before they could release anything, nevertheless this is a great band.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.

NOTE: 612 Sacrifices NEVER released an album, so in this post I made a compilation with all the songs that I was able to find.

   Dystopia Nå! is a norwegian band founded in 2010. The band name is norwegian for "Dystopia Now!".
   This band takes influence in various different genres, it is hard to label them, to say to which genre their music belong to, they are everywhere at the same time, very caotic.
   Dystopia Nå! songs go from calm and serene to harsh and anguished in seconds, making this transitions seem natural, creating a very confusing and psychedelic trip through the depths of the human mind.
   I recommend this band for everyone.

Igric - Discography


Band: Igric
Genre: Ambient Black Metal
Country: Slovakia

   Igric is a one man band from Slovakia, the founder of the band calls himself igric, which means minstrel, historically the word was used in the great moravian empire to represent an ancient slovak musician. The band was founded in 2002 and ended in 2012, releasing only instrumental songs.
   Igric plays a great ambient black metal with  lot of influences from the slavonic paganism. In my opinion this is one of the best bands in the scene, but sadly not recognized, Igric was never famous in the ambient black metal scene, and a lot of fans of the genre never even heard of him.
   Needless to say that I highly recommend this band for everyone, even if you are not a fan of the genre, this band will surprise you.

Ignifer - Discography

   Ignifer is an international band founded in 2009, with members from Belgium, Bulgaria and Germany. Ignifer is latin for the one who bears/brings the fire.
   I came across this band because one of the founders (Bael' vect) also is the founder of Through the Pain, a band that i am a huge fan. So it was impossible for me not to compare both bands... Through the Pain is the perfect example of a dsbm band, but I don't think Ignifer can be considered a dsbm band, although the band have a lot of influence from that genre, they make something very different, bringing influences from many different genres.
   I recommend this band for everyone.

   Abysskvlt is a russian band founded in 2014. Honestly I am huge fan of the funeral doom scene in russia, every band that I listen from there is amazing.
   Abysskvlt, as you can expect from a good funeral doom band, is very minimalistic, but they brought something different to the scene, with some influence from the dsbm and from the ambient black metal, mixing it all together perfectly.
   Overall this is a good band, and i recommend it for everyone.

Irrwisch - Discography


Band: Irrwisch
Genre: Black Metal
Coutry: Netherlands

   Irrwisch is a dutch band founded in 2006 by most part of the ex-members of Widergeist. The band name is german for "will-o'-the-wisp", which is ghostly lights seen at night in swamps and bogs, this phenomenon have a lot of different stories and influences in the folklore from different cultures.
   As almost all the members from this band are ex-members of Widergeist it is impossible not to compare both bands. Irrwisch have a more pagan influenced sound and their songs are not as raw as Widergeist's songs.
   Irrwisch are able to create an mix between atmospheric and raw black metal with some influences from the dsbm and pagan scene, their sound is quite unique, different from the bands that came before.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.

Uaral - Discography

   Uaral is a band from Chile, founded in 1996 by Aciago and Caudal, the band split-up in 2013. They named the band "Uaral" after their mentor and friend.
   Uaral's style is a darker folk with some influences from the doom metal scene, with extremely melancholic songs. This band is very original, it will probably make you look with different eyes to folk influenced metal bands.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.

Ygg - Discography

   Ygg is a ukranian band founded in 2010 by Odalv (ex-Nokturnal Mortum), Vrolok (ex-Nokturnal Mortum) and Helg (Khors), so far the band released only one album, but I hope that they will release more.
   Ygg is one of many names of Odin in old norse, but I do not know if this is the reason the band have chosen this name.
   Ygg's style is a mix between atmospheric and raw black metal with pagan influences. I would say that this band is perfect for all the fans of black metal, regardless the sub-genre you prefer.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.

   Velvet Cacoon is an american band founded in 2001, the band split up in 2009.
   The band is most famous for all the lies and rumors spread by the band members, including stolen albums. After all the charade has been reveled the band members decided to split up and start fresh with a more serious band, so they founded Clair Cassis.
   Velvet Cacoon's songs are highly influenced by drugs, the atmosphere created by them takes you to a trip through the darkest corners of your mind, it is very mesmerizing.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.

Tardigrada - Discography


Band: Tardigrada
Genre: Atmospheric Black Metal
Country: Switzerland

   Tardigrada is a swiss band founded in 2010. "Tardigrada" is a phylum of micro-animals related to the arthropods, but I don't know if this have anything to do with the band's name.
   Tardigrada's music manages to mix atmospheric and depressive black metal creating a very bleak ambient. So far the band has released only one demo but in my opinion they are already among the best bands in this genre.
   I highly recommend this band for everyone.
